International Day of Climate Action

24 October 2009 is International Day of Climate Action. This Saturday, around the world people are engaging in various acts to raise awareness and to encourage people to take action about climate change.

According NASA’s James Hansen:

“If humanity wishes to preserve a planet similar to that on which civilization developed and to which life on Earth is adapted, paleoclimate evidence and ongoing climate change suggest that CO2 will need to be reduced from its current 385ppm to at most 350ppm.”
